About Us
Sherry Holm has been involved professionally in the dog world for the past 30 years. She put her first title (obedience) on her Doberman, Sam in 1977, and has earned over 30 titles since then, in both Obedience and Agility. Sherry has trained and titled many breeds including Dobermans, Border Collie, Keeshond, Elkhound, Portuguese Water Dog, Cavaliers, and even a short time with an Affenpinscher! She has taught Obedience, Agility, Behavior, Puppy classes, Home obedience for pets, and Rally Obedience.
She has owned and operated a small dog care business in her home for 25 of those years. Her training is based primarily on positive reinforcement, often using a clicker (operant conditioning). Sherry uses her many years of experience to insure that each dog in her care is happy, safe, and as stress free as possible, paying attention to the subtle cues each dog gives to help her know what would be best for that dog. Her holistic approach to all that she does with the dogs, both her own and those in her care, has helped to make some very special relationships.
